Installation documentation

The Installation documentation is the place to begin. This documentation describes what is required to install and start WebSphere Application Server for iSeries. It also provides instructions on how to configure your iSeries server, the WebSphere Application Server environment, the web server, and how to verify that the WebSphere Application Server was started successfully. It also provides a brief, high-level introduction to the IBM WebSphere Application Server product solution.

iSeries Information Center

The iSeries Information Center provides easy access to WebSphere Application Server for iSeries resources, such as installation documentation, the Javadoc, and administrative console help.

To access the iSeries Information Center, you need a Web browser that supports HTML 4, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and Java> applets. Examples of such browsers are Netscape Navigator 4.5 and Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 or higher.

The iSeries Information Center is available online or can be downloaded and installed locally for offline access to documentation. The documentation is available from the Web site Documentation page described above, or directly from the iSeries Information Center:
