Display cache information

The dynamic cache monitor is an installable Web application that displays simple cache statistics, cache entries, and cache policy information.

To install the dynamic cache monitor, perform the following steps:

1. Start the WAS administrative console.

2. In the topology tree, expand Applications, and click Install new application.

3. In the Server path field, specify /QIBM/ProdData/WebAS5/Base/installableApps/CacheMonitor.ear.

4. Click Next.

5. Accept all default values, and click Next. Click Finish to install the application.

6. Once you receive a message that the EAR file installed correctly, click Save in the toolbar. Click Save again to update the master repository with your changes.

7. In the topology tree, expand Applications, and click Enterprise Applications.

8. Check CacheMonitor, and click Start.

   You receive a message stating that the application started successfully.

The dynamic cache monitor is accessible as a Web application. Use the following URI to display the dynamic cache monitor:

http://your.server.name:port/cachemonitor

where your.server.name is the hostname of your iSeries server and port is the internal HTTP port number for the application server instance on which you installed the cache monitor application.
