Configure J2EE application client resources

The Application Client Resource Configuration Tool (ACRCT) defines resources for the application client. These configurations are stored in the application client EAR file. The application client run time uses these configurations to resolve and create instances of the resources for the application client.

If the client application defines the local resources, run the ACRCT to configure the application accordingly. Use the ACRCT to change the configuration.

To use the ACRCT to configure the application client resources, perform these steps:

  1. Start the ACRCT and open an EAR file. Go to Help documentation
  2. Configure new data source providers. Go to Help documentation
  3. Configure mail providers and sessions. Go to Help documentation
  4. Configure URL providers and sessions. Go to Help documentation
  5. Configure Java messaging client resources. Go to Help documentation
  6. Configure new environment entries. Go to Help documentation
  7. Configure data access for J2EE application clients
  8. Consider lookup security with component managed authentication
  9. (Optional) Remove application client resources. Go to Help documentation
  10. Save the EAR file.

To update application client resources, see these topics in the help documentation:
