Product library, directories, and subsystems
This page describes the product library, directories, and subsystems that WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment use on your iSeries server.
Product library and directories
WebSphere Application Server for iSeries and WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment for iSeries use the library and directories listed here:
QEJBAS5 library
Product library./QIBM/ProdData/WebAS5 directory
Product root directory./QIBM/UserData/WebAS5 directory
Instance root directory./QIBM/ProdData/WebAS5/Base directory
Root directory for the WebSphere Application Server product. Product data which is shared by all WebSphere Application Server instances is stored here. Additionally, the master copies of the files which make up an instance are stored here. Files under this directory structure should not be modified./QIBM/UserData/WebAS5/Base directory
Root directory for WebSphere Application Server instances. All WebSphere Application Server instances are created under this directory structure./QIBM/ProdData/WebAS5/wemps directory
Root directory for WebSphere Embedded Messaging Publish and Subscribe. Files under this directory structure should not be modified./QIBM/UserData/WebAS5/wemps directory
Root directory for WebSphere Embedded Messaging Publish and Subscribe configuration and log files. The files under this directory are created and managed by the embedded JMS server, and should not be modified./QIBM/ProdData/WebAS5/ND directory
Root directory for the WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment product. Product data which is shared by all WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment instances is stored here. Additionally, the master copies of the files which make up an instance are stored here. Files under this directory structure should not be modified./QIBM/UserData/WebAS5/ND directory
Root directory for WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment instances. All instances of Network Deployment are created under this directory structure.
WebSphere Application Server for iSeries and WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment for iSeries use these subsystems:
QEJBAS5 subsystem
WebSphere Application Server subsystem. The application server, node agent, and JMS server processes run in this subsystem.QEJBASND5 subsystem
WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment subsystem. The deployment manager process runs in this subsystem.QMQM subsystem
If your instance uses the embedded JMS server, additional jobs are started on your iSeries server when you start the instance. These jobs run in the QMQM subsystem.
