Administer HTTP server instances
WebSphere Application Server requires an HTTP server instance to receive client HTTP requests. The HTTP server plugin routes the requests to the application server for processing. To create an HTTP server instance, see Configure an HTTP server instance.
To administer your HTTP server instance, follow these steps:
Enter the STRTCPSVR command on an OS/400 command line to start the *ADMIN instance of IBM HTTP Server:
STRTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN)Open this URL in your Web browser:
http://your.server.name:2001where your.server.name is the name of your iSeries server.
Enter a valid user ID and password for your iSeries server.
On the iSeries Tasks page, click IBM HTTP Server for iSeries.
On the HTTP Server for iSeries page, click the Manage tab.
In the Server field, select your HTTP server instance.
To make changes to your HTTP server instance, select an option from the navigation menu.
