Interaction with a DB2 UDB for iSeries

See this topic for information about how IBM® Survey Creator interacts with DB2® UDB for iSeries™.

The IBM Survey Creator uses a DB2 Universal Database™ to store configuration, content, and results information for each survey. Each IBM Survey Creator application that is installed in a WebSphere® Application Server for iSeries run-time environment is configured to have its own unique database. The IBM Survey Creator application uses the stored information in the database to view and manage survey information.

IBM Survey Creator uses a predefined naming convention for the database. The naming convention follows the format of SURVEYnnnn where nnnn is the dynamic portion of the name value consisting of digits (0-9). The valid values of the database name ranges from SURVEY0000 to SURVEY9999. This naming convention limits an iSeries server to a maximum of 10000 different application servers configured with the survey application.
