Connecting the integrated server into the Ethernet LAN

This topic discusses the external Ethernet connection which is required for all integrated server types (IXS, IXA, iSCSI). Make sure that you connect the external Ethernet connection to the network before you begin your Linux install so that the Linux install program can configure this connection.

The external Ethernet connection can be used by the ixssetup.sh and ixsupdt programs which will be used during the postinstallation steps.
