Setting up time maintenance
If you want to use a time maintenance application to synchronize your system time with an external time source, you need to configure the time maintenance application on each system. You can use the Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) time maintenance application or an application of your own.
For your time maintenance application to make the necessary time adjustments, your system must meet the proper software and hardware requirements. To make time adjustments, use i5/OS® V5R3, or later, with V4R5, or later hardware.
