Performing the migration
To prepare for and perform a data migration from both a source system that does support the V5R4 release of i5/OS® and a source system that does not support the V5R4 release of i5/OS, follow these general procedures.
Before you begin these tasks, be sure you have completed the necessary planning. You can migrate your data by using one of these paths:
If you can load i5/OS V5R4 on your source system, perform these procedures.
- Prepare for the migration.
- Complete the migration.
If you cannot load i5/OS V5R4 on your source system, perform these procedures.
