Setting write protection
The write-protect function prevents writing onto the disk.
A write-protect window shows when write protection is either onto or off. To use the write-protect function, do the following:
A separate Write-Protect switch exists for each volume (side) on the cartridge.
- Locate the write-protect switch on the cartridge.
- Set the disk to read/write or read-only.
- To make the disk read/write, move the write-protect switch to the off position. The write-protect window will be closed. You can write data onto the disk.
- To make the disk read-only, move the write-protect switch to the on position. The write-protect window will be open and data cannot be written on the disk.
