Creating a home directory for users on System A

 

Each user that connects to i5/OS® and i5/OS applications needs a directory in the /home directory. This directory contains the name of the user's Kerberos credentials cache. To create a home directory for a user, follow these steps:

  1. On the i5/OS command line, enter: CRTDIR '/home/user profile' where user profile is the i5/OS user profile name for the user. For example, CRTDIR '/home/JOHND' for the user John Day.

  2. Repeat this command for Sharon Jones, but specify her i5/OS user profile, SHARONJ.
