Solve communication problems using the system problem log
Error conditions that are communications-related can make entries in the system problem log. You can access the log to see the lists of problems that are detected by the system or by the user.
To access the system problem log, type WRKPRB on any iSeries™ system command line, and press F4.
Tips: You can select a subset of the problems that are listed in the problem log by selecting the problem status. A problem that is listed in the log has one of the following as a status:
- OPENED: The problem was identified; problem analysis has not been run.
- READY: The system has run problem analysis; the problem is ready to be prepared.
- PREPARED: The system added information that relates to the problem.
- SENT: The problem was sent to the service support location.
You can also sort the WRKPRB display by the date the problem was entered into the log.
