Using the LPAR Validation Tool

 

The LPAR Validation Tool (LVT) emulates an LPAR configuration and validates that the planned partitions are valid. In addition, LVT enables you to test the placement of i5/OS^® and Linux^® hardware within the system to ensure that the placement is valid.

• Completing the configuration planning worksheet
  It takes careful planning to create logical partitions on the iSeries™ . This includes planning for all the required hardware.

• Submitting 6xx, 7xx, Sxx worksheets to IBM
  IBM^® no longer requires the submission of Logical partitions configuration planning worksheets when you are seeking support. The Logical Partitions Validation Tool is now being used.
