Ensuring the system meets disk storage requirements for upgrades

 

You must ensure that you will have adequate disk storage before you start to install or replace i5/OS^® software.

To make more efficient use of your storage, clear your system of items that you no longer require before you estimate how much storage you will need.

• Determining storage space required
  Before you schedule a time to install the i5/OS release, determine the available storage space and the storage space that is required.

• Cleaning up disk storage space
  Cleaning up your system before you begin to install a new i5/OS release makes more storage space available for the installation process.
