Logs
The i5/OS® licensed program records certain kinds of events and messages for use in diagnosing problems. A log is a special kind of database file that is used by the system to record this information.
The types of logs include:
- Job logs
- Any job that runs on your system has a corresponding job log that records the job's status and activities.
- History logs
- History logs contain information about the operation of the system and the system status.
- Problem logs
- Problem logs are useful for coordinating and tracking all your problem management operations.
