Logs

 

The i5/OS® licensed program records certain kinds of events and messages for use in diagnosing problems. A log is a special kind of database file that is used by the system to record this information.

The types of logs include:

Job logs

Any job that runs on your system has a corresponding job log that records the job's status and activities.

History logs

History logs contain information about the operation of the system and the system status.

Problem logs

Problem logs are useful for coordinating and tracking all your problem management operations.
