Job logs
Every job that runs on your system has an associated job log that records its activities.
A job log can contain the following information:
- The commands in the job
- The commands in a CL program
- All messages associated with that job
- Controlling the content of the job log
When working with problems, you might want to record the maximum amount of information for the jobs that have frequent problems, might want to create a job log for the jobs that are completed normally, or might want to exclude informational messages. You can control the content of the job log by using the value specified on the LOG parameter.- Displaying job logs
To analyze a problem, you might want to review the messages in the job log. You can display a job log in several different ways.
