What's new for V5R4

 

This topic highlights the changes made to this topic collection for V5R4. The following new topics are added:

• Using recursive queries

• Example: A SELECT statement using an allocated SQL descriptor

• Using OLAP specifications

• INSTEAD OF SQL triggers

Minor changes and updates have been added to the following topics:

• Information about allocated SQL descriptors was added in the Parameter markers, SQL descriptor areas, Varying-list SELECT statements and Processing SELECT statements and using a descriptor topics.

• More special registers were added in Special registers in SQL statements.

• Changes were made to Types of SQL statements.

• More statements that can be used with the SQL statement processor were added in Using the SQL statement processor.
