Stored procedures

A stored procedure is a program that can be called with the SQL CALL statement.

DB2® UDB for iSeries™ supports external stored procedures and SQL procedures. An external stored procedure can be any system program, service program, or REXX procedure. It cannot be a System/36™ program or procedure. An SQL procedure is defined entirely in SQL and can contain SQL statements, including SQL control statements.
