Enable Portal Access Control for a WSRP Producer portal

If you use authentication by LTPA token or Secure Socket Layer client certificate to provide security for your WSRP services, you also configure Portal Access Control for the Producer.

If you want to enable Portal Access Control for the Producer portal, set the portal configuration parameter wsrp.security.enabled = true in the Configuration Service to true. For details about how to do this refer to Setting configuration properties. For more general information about portal service parameters refer to Portal service configuration.

To enable Portal Access Control for WSRP on a Producer portal, proceed by the following steps:

  1. Activate the WSRP security by setting the property wsrp.security.enabled to true in Configuration Service. For details about how to do this refer to Setting configuration properties.

  2. Assign access rights based on the authentication information:

    • If you use LTPA token authentication, assign access rights to the actual Consumer portal users. Get the user information from the Consumer.

    • If you use SSL client certificate authentication, assign access rights to the shared user ID as specified in the client certificate.
