Configure the HTTP Basic Authentication Trust Association Interceptor

To configure the HTTP Basic Authentication Trust Association Interceptor according to your requirements, you set its properties.

To set the properties of the HTTP Basic Authentication Trust Association Interceptor, proceed by the following steps:

  1. Access the administrative console.

  2. Click Security > Global security.

  3. Under Authentication click Authentication mechanisms > LTPA.

  4. Under Additional Properties click Trust association.

  5. Mark the checkbox Enable trust association, if it is not checked already.

  6. Click OK.

  7. Click Trust association once more.

  8. Click Interceptors > com.ibm.portal.auth.tai.HTTPBasicAuthTAI.

  9. Click Custom properties.

  10. Click the property you that want to change. For a list of the properties that you can set, possible values and their meaning refer to Reference: Properties for the Trust Association Interceptor.

  11. Change the value for the property according to your requirements.

  12. Click OK.

  13. Select other properties and change their values as required.

  14. Click OK.

  15. Save your changes.

  16. Restart the IBM® WebSphere® Application Server.
