Verifying WebSphere Portal Express installation with System i5 Navigator

Verify remotely from your Windows desktop.

This section contains information that will assist you in verifying the installation of IBM® WebSphere® Portal Express through System i5 Navigator (V5R3 or later), a component of IBM System i5 Access for Windows (5722-XW1). System i5 Navigator is the graphical user interface for managing and administering your System i5 server from your Windows® desktop.System i5 Navigator makes operation and administration of System i5 servers easier and more productive. You can view the displayed list of software products currently installed on your System i5 system with the Installed Products view inSystem i5 Navigator.

To view product WebSphere Portal Express through System i5 Navigator, do the following:

  1. Start System i5 Navigator.

  2. Right-click the name of the System i5 system.

  3. Select Inventory and then Collect.

  4. Select Software and click OK.

  5. Expand the Management Central Section and double-click Endpoint Systems.

  6. Double-click the name of the System i5 system.

  7. Double-click Configuration and Service.

  8. Double-click Software.

  9. Double-click Installed Products.

A list of installed products is displayed. Verify that IBM WebSphere Portal Express Version 6.0 is in the list.
