Install Oracle
This section provides information on how to install Oracle for use with WebSphere Portal Express.
Before you begin
- You should have completed reviewing the Planning for Oracle section.
Installing Oracle
You can use Oracle as the database software. You must install Oracle separately from and before performing a database transfer. Refer to Oracle product documentation for installation instructions.
If you are using Oracle 10g Release 2, make sure the patch for Oracle bugs 4939157 and 5055175 are applied to your Oracle system. Contact Oracle directly to get the patch.
