Backing up a search index
Back up a search index.
Each time that you back up the database that contains the document library, you should also back up the Portal Search indexes that have been built to coincide with the current state of the database.
- Stop the WebSphere_Portal server
- Back up the directory tree containing the Portal Search indexes.
Use any standard zip tool or operating system command that recursively collects the contents within a directory and its subdirectories. For Windows, by default the Portal Search indexes are in the directory...
portal_server_root\jcr\search- Restart the server.
