The console interface allows one to perform an interactive installation or uninstallation from a command prompt.

To install portal...

1. Copy the contents of the setup CDs, or downloaded install images, to a location on the hard drive, such as...

   /installroot

2. Launch the install program.

   On Windows and Linux systems...

   cd /installroot/PortalExpress
   install.bat|sh -console

   On i5/OS

   • Remote:

     cd installroot/PortalExpress
     install400.bat -console

   • Local:

     cd installroot/PortalExpress
     setup.sh

To uninstall portal...

• Windows and Linux...

  cd install_root/PortalExpress
  uninstall.bat|sh -console

• On i5/OS first remove any profiles, and then enter...

  /QIBM/ProdData/PortalExpress/V610/uninstall/uninstall.sh

You cannot install two instances of the server at the same time, even in different directories. You must install each server completely before installing the next one.
