Configure Web Content Management search options

You can edit the following search options to manage how the search service works with Web Content Management search forms

  1. Edit the SearchService.properties file. File location:

  2. The following settings can be edited:

    Option Description
    SearchService.DateFormatString This is used to set the date search format. Enter a supported Java date format string. If this property is not set, then the default format is MMM dd yyyy HH:mm:ss z.
    SearchService.DefaultCollectionName Enter the name of the default search collection to be used by Web Content Management search forms. The default search collection is WebContentCollection.
    SearchService.RecrawlInterval Enter the number of hours that the search collection will be updated.
    SearchService.BrokenLinksExpirationAge This property is used to set the number of days after which the broken links should be removed from the Search Collection's indices.
    SearchService.Siapi.IIOP_URL

    SearchService.Siapi.EJB

    SearchService.Siapi.SOAP_URL

    SearchService.Siapi.PSE.Type

    If your search engine is located on a remote node, you will need to set the following SIAPI configuration parameters. See Search service configuration parameters for further information on these parameters.

  3. Save the SearchService.properties file.

  4. Restart the portal for the new settings to take effect.
