Configure the Lotus Web Conferencing portlet to create and search for meetings on the Lotus Sametime server
You enter values for several parameters in the portlet to specify the IBM® Lotus® Sametime® server it points to, and to enable the portlet to create and search for Lotus Sametime meetings.
The administrative user you specify in the following procedure must satisfy the following conditions:
- The user must exist only in the Domino Directory on the Lotus Sametime server.
- The user must not be listed in the LDAP directory used by WebSphere Portal Express or Lotus Sametime.
- The user must be an administrator of Lotus Sametime Web Conferencing.
Perform the following steps:
- To determine the appropriate user identity, in your browser, go to the following URL: http://your_sametime_server.your_domain.com/stcenter.nsf
- Click Administer the Server. Tip: Whatever user name and password you enter here is the user name and password that you need to specify in the following steps.
- Log into the portal as a portal administrator.
- Click the Administration tab.
- Click Portlets > Portlet Management.
- Search for and select the Lotus Web Conferencing portlet, and click the wrench icon to modify its parameters. Enter the following values:
Parameter Enter this value SametimeServer1 The host name of the Lotus Sametime server. SametimeUserName1 An administrator of the Lotus Sametime server. SametimePassword1 That administrator's password.
- Click Save to save the changes, then Cancel to return to the Modify Parameters page.
