Pointing the My Lotus QuickPlaces portlet to an alternate Lotus QuickPlace server (optional)

If your organization has more than one IBM® Lotus® QuickPlace® server, you can use a My Lotus QuickPlaces portlet to view QuickPlaces on any of them, not just the server that is configured to work with Collaborative Services.

To specify a different Lotus QuickPlace server for an instance of the portlet...

  1. Log in to the portal as an administrator.

  2. Click Administration.

  3. Click Portlets > Portlet Management

  4. Navigate to and select the My Lotus QuickPlaces portlet and click the wrench icon to modify its parameters.

  5. In the QuickPlaceHostName field, type the fully qualified host name of your Lotus QuickPlace server.

  6. In the QuickPlacePort field, type the port number of your Lotus QuickPlace server.

  7. Click Save.
The My Lotus QuickPlaces portlet can now attempt to communicate with an alternate Lotus QuickPlace server, but complete the tasks in the next two topics before the communication attempt will be successful.
