Enable or disabling Spell Checker in Common Mail

The Spell Checker function is automatically installed with WebSphere Portal Express and is enabled by default after installation.

To enable or disable Spell Checker, change the SpellCheck_Enabled value in the SpellCheckConfig.properties file (found in portal_server_root/shared/app/com/ibm/wps/odc/spellcheck/util) to true or false, and then restart WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere Portal Express.

Version 6.0.1 only If you configure WebSphere Portal Express to use a context root other than the default (wps), set the SpellCheck_Portlet_Context value in the SpellCheckConfig.properties file (found in portal_server_root/shared/app/com/ibm/wps/odc/spellcheck/util). To determine the SpellCheck_Portlet_Context value, log in as portal administrator, click Administration from the Main Menu, click Portal Settings > Custom Unique Names > Web Modules, and then locate the entry for the module SpellCheckerService.war. Use the value in the Description column for SpellCheckerService.war as the value for SpellCheck_Portlet_Context.
