Enable a third-party authentication server to work with the Common PIM portlets
If IBM® Lotus® Domino® is your back-end system and your WebSphere Portal Express installation is configured for single sign-on through a third-party authentication system such as Computer Associates eTrust SiteMinder, messaging portlets such as Common Mail and Common Calendar require parameters to identify and pass third-party cookies, request headers, or both to the Lotus Domino server.
Perform the following steps for any instances of the Common Mail or Common Calendar portlet deployed in your site.
- Log in as portal administrator.
- Click Administration.
- Click Portlet Management, then click Portlets.
- Select the portlet you are modifying, for example, Mail.
- Click the wrench icon.
- If the third-party authentication server relies on one or more cookies, type CPP_PassHttpCookies in the New parameter field, type one or more values (for example, type SMSESSION for eTrust SiteMinder) in the New value field, and then click Add. Use a semicolon to separate multiple values (for example, cookie1;cookie2).
- If the third-party authentication server relies on one or more HTTP headers, type CPP_PassHttpHeaders in the New parameter field, type one or more values in the New value field, and then click Add. Use a semicolon to separate multiple values (for example, header1;header2).
- Click OK.
