Enable People Finder for anonymous users
If you grant access to anonymous users for any page containing the People Finder portlet, also grant them access to a hidden page, and to a dynamic person tag portlet that support awareness in People Finder. In addition, enable session use for anonymous users.
Perform the following steps:
- Log in to the portal as an Administrator.
- Select Administration from the portal main menu.
- In the list on the left, under Access, click Resource Permissions.
- In the list on the right under Resource Types, click Pages.
- Use Search to locate the page in your site where you have added the People Finder portlet.
- Click the key icon under Assign Access.
- For the role User, click the pencil icon, and then clickAdd.
- Select Anonymous Portal User, and then click OK as necessary to save the change.
- Still under Resource Permissions > Resource Types > Pages, select Unique name contains , and search for "ibm.portal.Person.Tag" to locate the hidden page.
- Repeat steps 6 through 8 to assign access for the hidden page.
- In the list under Resource Types, click Portlets,
- Make sure Title contains is selected, and search for "dynamic" to locate the hidden portlet with the title Dynamic Person Tag.
- Repeat steps 6 through 8 to assign access for the hidden portlet.
- Use Search to locate the People Finder portlet.
- Repeat steps 6 through 8 to assign access for the People Finder portlet.
- Click Logout.
- Set the following property in the WP NavigatorService from the IBM® WebSphere® Application Server Administrative Console. For more information, see Setting configuration properties and Navigator Service.
