Confirm installation of Domino and Extended Products Portlets components

Overview

Portal includes .WAR files containing Domino® and Extended Products Portlets and the .XML file that deploys the portlets and sample pages. The installation program for WebSphere Portal Express installs the Domino and Extended Products Portlets onto portal pages. This topic describes how to confirm that the Domino and Extended Products Portlets are properly installed.

The installation program adds the following Domino and Extended Products Portlets to the portal environment. If the portal does not include portlets on the pages...

...perform the following procedure...

  1. Check the portal server for the presence of the following files.

    The .WAR files contain the parent portlets from which portlet instances deployed on the Domino Integration page are derived. Look for the files in the following directory:

    portal_server_root/InstalledApps/

    portal_server_root_user/InstalledApps/

    Description Files
    Portlets connecting to the Domino server:

    • Lotus Notes View
    • Domino Web Access

    		notes2.war
    dominowebaccess.war
    Portlets connecting to the Lotus QuickPlace server:

    • My Lotus QuickPlaces
    • Inline QuickPlace

    Inline QuickPlace is installed with the portal, but does not appear by default on the Domino Integration page. You must add it to any page where you want it to appear.

    Portlets connecting to the Lotus Sametime server:

    • Lotus Web Conferencing
    • Sametime Contact List
    • Who Is Here

    Portlets connecting to the Document Manager server:
    • Domino Document Manager

    Domino Document Manager is installed with the portal, but does not appear by default on the Domino Integration page. You must add it to any page where you want it to appear.

    		lwppeoplefinder.war

  2. If you determine that any of the files are missing, contact IBM Support.

 

Post-install operations

There are no required post-install operations for the Domino and Extended Products Portlets components.

However, if you plan to customize themes and skins in the portal, perform an additional task of specifying style sheets to preserve support for people awareness features.
