About Web services configuration

You can use Web Services Configuration to set up the portal for consuming Web Services for Remote Portlets (WSRP). This means preparing your Consumer portal for integrating remote Web services that have been provided by Producer portals so that the portal users can work with these Web services. Additionally, you can configure Web service Producers on the Consumer portal side and configure various aspects of using Web services in the portal.

You cannot use the Web Services Configuration portlet to perform the following tasks:

Web Services Configuration displays a table that lists the Producers in the portal. Producers are other portals that provide Web services as remote portlets. The table shows the Producers whose Web services you can consume in the portal. The table is empty the first time it is displayed after portal installation. The columns of the table show the following information and icons:
