Use this page to select, create or delete a group of threads that an application server uses. Requests are sent to the server through any of the HTTP transports. A thread pool enables components of the server to reuse threads to eliminate the need to create new threads at run time. Creating new threads expends time and resources.
You can view this administrative console page through more than one navigational route. For example, click System Administration > Deployment Manager > Ports > transport chain DCS > TCP inbound channel > Thread Pools.
To select a threadpool for an application server to use, click on its name in the list.
To create a threadpool, click on the New button and enter the information on the resulting panel.
To delete a threadpool, select the checkbox next to the name of the threadpool, then click on the Delete button.
