Making Site Builder visible

Make the Site Builder page visible to all authenticated users. Those users with extra administrator or website creator access can also use Site Builder.

If you chose to create a Site Builder page during installation, you already have a page named site.Builder. Otherwise, create a new page and name it site.Builder before you begin these steps. Allow all authenticated users or specific users to see the Site Builder page and portlet when they log on to HCL WebSphere Portal.

  1. Log in to the portal as an administrator.

  2. From the administration menu, click Portal User Interface.

  3. Click Manage Pages.
  4. Click Content Root.
  5. Click Applications.
  6. Click the Set Page Permission icon next to the page named site.Builder.

  7. For the User role, click the Edit Role icon.

  8. Add All Authenticated Portal Users or, for more selective access, add specific users. Click OK.

  9. Click Site Builder.
  10. Click Apply and Done.

  11. From the Administration page, click Portlet Management > Portlets.
  12. Browse to the Site Builder portlet. The unique name is wp.ctc.nswiz.app.Site Builder. Click the Assign access to portlet icon.

  13. For the User role, click the Edit Role icon.

  14. Add All Authenticated Portal Users or, for more selective access, add specific users. Click OK.

  15. Click OK.
  16. Click Site Builder.
  17. Click Apply and Done.
