Use a text element

We use a text element to store a short section of text. To create a text element, we can either add a text element to an authoring template, site area or content item, or create a text component.

1. Create a text component
   We create a text component when to reuse a section of text in multiple places in the website.

2. Add a text element to an item
   We add a text element to a site area or content item when we want a section of text to be used for a specific site area or content item.

3. Add a text element to a template
   We add a text element to an authoring template when we want the text element to be used by a set of items using the same authoring template.
