Customize the Headlines style
Customize the Headlines presentation style to further suit your requirements. To customize the Headlines presentation style for the portlet instance:
- From the portlet menu, select Personalize, Edit Shared Settings, or Configure. The General tab is selected, by default.
- Click the Appearance tab.
- In case the Headlines presentation style isn't the current, default presentation style, click the General link and select Headlines as the presentation style.
- Click the Headlines link.
- In case to modify any of the default settings associated with this presentation style as shown on this page, select the Override appearance defaults check box.
- Set appropriate values for the settings, as per their description.
- Show toolbar: Enable this option to display a toolbar in the view mode that enables us to add, delete, and reorder feeds and feed categories without going to the Personalize, Edit Shared Settings, or Configure mode.
- Show Channel title bar: Enable this option to display a channel bar at the beginning of every feed. The channel bar displays the name of the feed category along with the name of the feed.
- Show date published: Enable this option to display the date of publishing for a feed article.
- Show author: Enable this option to display the author for a feed article.
- Article content style: Specify whether the content of a feed article is displayed expanded, collapsed, or not shown at all.
- Window title style: Specify the portlet window title to be the same as the default portlet title, the title of the first selected feed, or a custom title.
- Amount of space between articles (pixels): Specify the spacing (in pixels) between the articles in a feed. The default value is 10.
- Number of headlines per channel: Specify the number of articles to be displayed per channel or feed. The default value is 5.
- Article display style: Specify whether to view the feeds separately or organized on the basis of feed category, the level in the category hierarchy, or all the feeds in one list.
- Click Save.
- On the Subscriptions page, click Done.
