Create HTML page components

This roadmap highlights how to generate the following page components: banner, promotional text, teaser, and dynamic list.

Who should use this roadmap

You are a developer on the technical team that is tasked with creating home and landing page templates for content authors to use on the site. You are responsible only for creating page components and design templates. Other developers are responsible for developing other pieces of the design. Learn the basics of generating the page components. From the HTML prototype example, the home page template contains a banner, promotional text, and teaser page component. The landing page template contains a banner and dynamic list page component. Go to the Roadmaps section and find Roadmap: Determining the design requirements from an HTML prototype for more information.

Note: The dynamic list page component is used only on a landing page template. The dynamic page component requires hidden details that are not available on the home page template.
