Use the WAS console to administer Portal Search

We can administer Portal Search using the WAS console and using resource providers in XML format.

We can administer search services, search collections, and search scopes. We can create, configure, or delete these.

To administer Portal Search using the WAS console...

1. Open the WAS console and select...

   Resources | Resource Environment | Resource Environment Providers | WP_SearchConfigService | Additional Properties | Custom properties

2. Click PortalSearchService to edit the resource.

3. Edit the Value field, which displays the value from the XML file used to configure Search, and set the parameter as required.

   For information about the XML schema:

   PORTAL_HOME/search/wp.search.provider/core/service/schema/WplcSearchService.xsd

4. Apply and then save the change.

5. Restart the portal.
