Installation requirements for DB2 Connect Personal Edition (Linux)

 

Before you install DB2 Connect™ Personal Edition on Linux® operating systems, ensure that the system you choose meets the necessary operating system, hardware, software, and communications requirements.

To install DB2 Connect Personal Edition, the following requirements must be met:

For the latest information on supported Linux distributions, point your browser to http://www.ibm.com/db2/linux/validate.

You might be required to update your kernel configuration parameters. The kernel configuration parameters are set in /etc/sysctl.conf. See the Modifying kernel parameters (Linux) section of the DB2® Information Center. Refer to your operating system manual for information on setting and activating these parameters using the sysctl command.
