Create workspace templates

We can create workspaces with the specific purpose of serving as templates for new workspaces. In doing so, we can reuse its task groups and tasks for other workspaces.


Before beginning

Ensure that we are logged in to the Workspace Management tool as one of the following roles:


Procedure

  1. Open the Workspace Management tool.

  2. Create a workspace. Ensure that the workspace status remains as inactive, so that it remains open in the Workspace Management tool. That is, do not work on any of the task groups or tasks within this workspace template.

  3. Create task groups in the workspace that can be reused for other workspaces. Remember: Do not work on any task groups in this workspace template.

  4. Create tasks in the task groups that can be reused for other workspaces. Remember: Do not work on any tasks in this workspace template.


What to do next

After creating a workspace template, copy relevant task groups and tasks from your workspace template into other workspaces as needed.
