Copy promotions
We can duplicate promotions to quickly create similar promotions. After you copy a promotion, we must give the copied promotion a new name before you save it.
About this task
(Enterprise) If we are using the extended sites model and are currently in the extended site store, we can add a promotion that belongs to the asset store. To add a promotion that belongs to the store, we must copy a current asset store promotion. When you copy the promotion that you inherit from our asset store to the extended store, the copied promotion becomes local to the store, not inherited.
Procedure
- Open the Promotions tool.
- Find the promotion to copy.
- Right-click the promotion to copy. Click Copy.
- Right-click on the list. Click Paste on the menu.
- Rename the promotion, and change any properties as necessary.
- Click
Save to save the promotion, or click Close to close the promotion editor, and return to the updated Promotions - List page. The promotion is displayed in the Promotions - List page, and its
Status is set as Inactive.
