Manage site search statistics
By reviewing site search statistics, you learn what customers are intending to find on your web site when they enter keywords in the search field. We can then make targeted improvements to optimize the site search, improve the site navigation, and ultimately increase conversions. Management Center provides site search statistics in two reports: the Top Search Hits report and the Top Search Misses report.
- Top Search Hits report
This report provides statistical data about the keywords customers used most frequently to search the site using the search field. Use this report to pinpoint the most popular products and brands that our customers are searching for. We can then focus your efforts on these keywords when fine-tuning search results, adding landing pages, and marketing products. To be included in this report, the keyword must return at least one product that is a direct hit (not a suggestion).- Viewing statistics for top search hits
View the Top Search Hits report to review statistical data about the keywords our customers used most frequently to search the site during a specific reporting period.- Top Search Misses report
This report provides statistical data about keywords our customers used to search the site that did not return any matching search results.
