Add defining attributes to catalog entries

Defining attributes are properties of products and SKUs in an online store, such as color or size for clothing. We can add defining attributes to a product, such as color and size for corduroy pants.

We can add defining attributes to catalog entries using one of the following methods:

• Assigning defining attributes from the attribute dictionary
  To assign defining attributes for a product, assign attributes with predefined values from the attribute dictionary.

• Adding defining attributes within catalog entries
  We can add defining attributes that are not contained within the Management Center attribute dictionary to catalog entries. We cannot use the Management Center attribute dictionary to manage attributes that are created within a catalog entry.
