For a price rule to display offer prices on the storefront, we must assign the price rule to a contract. This requirement applies to all business models (B2B, extended sites, and B2C); however the procedure to follow is different depending on the type of contract and type of store.Use the following table to find the right procedure to follow:

Using WebSphere Commerce Accelerator, we can assign a price rule to base contracts and customer contracts in the B2B business model, including extended sites. After you assign the price rule to the contract, customers shopping under the contract are entitled to prices set by the price rule.- Assigning a price rule to the default contract of a B2C store, including extended site stores
Using WebSphere Commerce Accelerator, we can assign a price rule to the default contract for a B2C store and a B2C extended site store. Using WebSphere Commerce Accelerator, we can assign a price rule to the default contract for a B2B and a B2B extended site store. As a result, guest and unregistered customers, as well as customers with no other contract, see prices set by the price rule you assign.
