Troubleshooting: Connection to IBM MQ queue manager fails
Problem
When attempting a connection with an IBM MQ queue manager, the connection fails with the return code 2035 MQRC_NOT_AUTHORIZED.
Solution
To find out why this error is occurring, first view the error log for the queue manager. For information on where to find the queue manager error log, see Error log directories in the IBM MQ documentation.
- If the error was caused by AMQ5540: Application 'IBM MQ Client for Java' did not supply a user ID and password, refer to the technote AMQ5540 and AMQ5541, application did not supply a user ID and password, 2035 MQRC_NOT_AUTHORIZED.
- If the error was caused by AMQ9776: Channel was blocked by userid, refer to the technote WMQ 7.1 / 7.5 / 8.0 queue manager RC 2035 MQRC_NOT_AUTHORIZED or AMQ4036 or JMSWMQ2013 when using client connection as an MQ Administrator.
