Deploy

This section describes how to deploy a WebSphere Commerce application, deploy customized code, and deploy maintenance updates.

IBM provides Docker images for deploying a WebSphere Commerce application. We can deploy the application multiple times and use each application for a different purpose. For example, we can deploy an application to use as a test environment, another application to use as a Docker development environment, and another to use as the production environment. These environments are referred to as runtime environments. The term runtime environment is used to differentiate from the development environment (where you run WebSphere Commerce Developer and customize the store).
