Starting and stopping servers

During the course of setting up and opening the stores, we will start and stop the commerce and payments servers several times. A WCS instance is started and stopped as an application server called WC_wc_instance (where wc_instance is the name of the WCS instance to start or stop). We used the default name demo.

To start a WCS instance called demo, you would start an application server called WC_demo.

The names of application servers are as shown in Table C-1.

By this convention, wc_instance is the name of the WCS instance (we used demo), and wpm_instance is the name of the WebSphere Commerce Payments instance (we used wpm).
