Troubleshoot: Task group commit failed

If a task group fails to commit, review the possible solutions below to recover from the error. A common cause of task groups failing to commit is that the task group data has a dependency on data in another task group that is not yet committed.


Solution

If you have multiple task groups, WebSphere Commerce attempts to retry the task group commit when the next task group is committed. If the task group that failed to commit has a dependency on data in other task groups, the commit failure may resolve itself as the task group containing data on which the failed task group is dependent.

If the task group commit failure does not resolve itself upon the commit of other task groups:

  1. Examine the log files to determine the cause of the error.

  2. If task group data caused the error:

    1. Reactivate the task group where the commit failed.

    2. Correct the data.

    3. Complete, and if necessary, approve the task group again.
