Troubleshoot: Portlet not available

The WebSphere Commerce portlets are not shown, and a Portlet is not available message is produced and errors are logged in the WP_installdir/log directory.


Solution

Restart the TCP monitor each time that you restart the Rational Application Server version 7.0.

To restart the TCP monitor, complete the following steps on the WebSphere Portal machine:

  1. From the Rational Application Developer Workbench, select Windows > Preferences > Run/Debug > TCP/IP Monitor.

  2. Select the appropriate port monitor and click Start.

  3. You must start the port monitor every time the Rational Application Developer is restarted.
