Set the default link for a Guided Sell metaphor
You can set the default link for a Guided Sell metaphor, so that any answer in the question and answer tree for which you do not specify a link will automatically use the default. This link can be to any prepared Product Exploration, Product Comparison, or Guided Sell metaphor for any category. You can also set a default link to an HTML Web page.
To set the default link:
Procedure
- Edit the XML input file
- Insert a metaphorLink element immediately after the template element in a salesAssistant element.
- Save the XML file.
- Continue to create the question and answer tree.
Results
If an answer links to a metaphor that either has not been created, or had been created and then subsequently deleted, the answer displays in the customer's viewer as plain text. The customer will not be able to select that answer.
